Chelston Outdoor is the trading name of Chelston Direct Ltd, an independent UK online retailer established in 2005 and based in Wellington, Somerset.

You may previously have known us as Chelston Direct. We are the same established business, team and website, but our trading name is now Chelston Outdoor.

Chelston Outdoor was founded in 2005 to serve the growing outdoor leisure market. Frustrated by the lack of inspiring skiwear on the high street, founder and keen skier Rob Simon set out to do things differently. Too many jackets felt dull, generic, and lacking in performance — so Chelston was built to offer better.

Today, Chelston Outdoor is dedicated to sourcing innovative, comfortable, and durable gear that helps people make the most of the outdoors, all year round. From the slopes to the surf, and everything in between, we carefully select products that combine performance with style.

After three successful years, we expanded into a larger warehouse and office space in Wellington, Somerset. This investment strengthened our operations, enabling faster delivery and a more responsive, reliable customer experience.
