Ski socks are designed to give skiers and snowboarders comfort and support. Correctly fitted socks, will allow you to enjoy the slopes all day, without blisters. Socks should not be too loose, to avoid blisters, or too small to reduce circulation. The toe fit should be snug but not too tight.
Sock length is important; the sock covers more of the leg than the ski boot. They provide padding over the shin area. Best designs have stretchy panels over the instep and heel of the foot, helping to keep contours of the leg shape.
