The aims of the project were to help engage the students with their local environment, build relationships across the schools, and get the students to take responsibility for creating something.

A group of patients from a Greenock hospital were the latest to take part in a Forestry Commission Scotland project to give people a taste of the great outdoors. A mixture of 12 inpatients and outpatients from the Ravenscraig Hospital spent 12 weeks in parts of the Clyde Muirshiel Regional Park as part of the Branching Out project.
