The well-made Bloc Flare Ski Helmet features an adjustable fit system and hard-wearing ABS shell. It is certainly one of the best value ski helmets around and you will struggle to find a better helmet for the money. I took to the slopes with a Bloc Flare Helmet - having not skied much with a helmet before and I was surprised how quickly I forgot I was wearing it.
Bloc’s adjustable dial on the back of the
helmet allowed me to tighten the helmet so it felt secure and comfortable. The chin strap clip made taking the ski helmet on and off easy. There is also a chin strap pad made of soft fleece material.
Conditions were too cold to make use of the adjustable air vents. The temperature was about -5, but the snug fit of the helmet kept my head warm. On the back of the helmet there is a goggle clip. I found this to be really useful. The strap of the goggles simply slides underneath it and is held very firmly in place. With many hire shops charging £20+ for a week’s helmet rental, I would certainly recommend buying a helmet before you go.The Bloc Flare Ski Helmet is available from Chelston Direct priced at £29.99: |
